Set in the 1930s

Each day I sit here for an hour or two, looking at the dozens of images of identical hatchbacks, identical SUVs, and identical pickups that this database thinks are worthy of identification.
The magic phrase “set in the 1930s” appears, so I settle back in my geriatric commode, order another double gin and marmite, and await a few moments of enjoyment and intellectual p.t.

What do I get?

Two coachbuilt cars that are so close in that they could be anything, something that could be French, and the back of a van in the distance.

Wonderful.

I fully appreciate that dinosaurs like me are a) boring, and b) on the way out, and that you youngsters, id est anyone under 70, have different priorities, but really! What is more, the election is now over, so my other hobby of shouting at the tv is now obsolete for the next five years.

My application is sent off for membership of the local over 70s dwile flonking team,

but there is again a five year waiting list so it’s back to the inebriate parachutists club.

Haven't you ever considered the fact that these movie cars might be rented from someone or some company, and could therefore make identifying easier?

Why the feeling of needing to be rewarded? It isn't a pay-per-view site nor it is oldtimer-oriented in any way. Anyone can contribute content from any era. :)

No, Gamer, I am not interested in doing that, I use my knowledge, not lists. Lists are fine for buses.

Kegare, you miss my points completely, why should anyone post such rubbish images in the first place, I’m not looking for reward, I’m looking for cars I can identify, end of.

Every morning dear boy, every morning!

It’s called “Shredded Wheat”.

Apart from telling you that I eat the cheaper Aldi version. It is now nearing twelve years since I retired, perhaps it’s withdrawal symptoms from the Motor Industry.

Alex usually does add thumbnails, so there may be more pics coming.

Sidenote, we have plenty of older vehicles that are not ID'd. Go through some of the end pages of the Unidentified list.

I have been doing that, but intermittently.

If there are better pictures, post them first.

/vehicle_1330124.html happens to be a Rolls-Royce - a lot more views of side-front and side-rear is seen in the movie from 00:58:00 until 00:58:14, so wise to await further thumbnails. (I have only skipped through the movie).

My personal niggle lately is the lack of time stamps since it makes locating scenes in the movie more time consuming. I know they are not essential but they are very useful.
