I won't past "thousands" of girls pictures, some are quite "too hot" for this site , and would probably breed us in non stop comments :D
...just few of them ;)

And why not use the "spoiler" tag, added some time ago also for cases like that one then? :p (I do not say that for putting more pics, but for those already listed)

Now, come on, this is just B-quality act photography you find in every photo-magazine (not men's magazine!) or tv-programme guide at the news-stand of your local supermarket. Only countries with rather strange moralistic (suppressive) believes, like e.g. Iran, won't have this.

Maybe in some European countries, but I don't see stuff like this [Image: comczaua9.th.jpg] in the Radio Times! But yes, certain British tabloid newspapers always show topless girlie pictures (eg. Page 3 girls in The Sun) but they draw the line at showing "bush" (or perhaps it's the models that draw the line).

The only way to resolve this problem is probably to have a simple no-nudity rule, which would put an end to arguments about what is and is not "pornographic".

That would be the best thing to do :D But if we want to keep guidelines, then perhaps we should rewrite that one guideline about pornographic images (because it still allows opportunity for debate), changing it to: "No naked breasts or genitalia". That may not quite use the language of political-correctness that rules are usually written in, but it's far more straightfoward.

Some extra rules or regulations written somewhere by someone won't change a thing.

If the goal is to protect under-aged surfers from nudity we have to shut down the internet completely. It is so bloody easy finding pornographic images or video clip on the net, even if you look for something completely different. Only yesterday I searched for 'Pegaso' images using the Google image search engine. The very first result was not a truck!

If the goal is to protect yourself from seeing nudity (I'd be a bit amazed) or if you want to make sure your wife doesn't get a wrong idea if you tell her you are looking at cars and all she sees is naked women, then the use of a spoiler tag is a good idea. As a under-aged protection scheme the spoiler tag is useless, even counter-productive.

So, just stay cool. And, Jean-Marc, perhaps you could use the spoiler tag to protect our other members/admins from their less understanding better halves ;)

---

And now be honest: how many of you have just searched for Pegaso images? :D

Something that is forbidden is most attractive to children and teens. A spoiler tag is certainly the first thing a surfer-kid would click on.

You know, with me it wasn't so much that the pornographic imagery was a problem (and I came of age a good while ago), rather that porn sites are where all the seedy people on the internet lurk, who tend to put viruses all the over the place, so a hardcore porn site is a place where you're likely to get attacked by viruses and spyware, this is why I mostly tend to stay away from them (sometimes it just isn't worth it). This is really why my dad didn't want me using his computer to look at internet porn (and I don't know how it was with other people but for me it's plain embarrassing when your parents find out!! :D ). But sixcyl's imageshack images don't pose that kind of threat.

Well but as a spanish saying says "if the other one throws to the river himself you do too" ? that's not an excuse, just because other sites have this we dont have to have it, its not the purpose of this site, it is just, lets say, pointless to have it here, if someone wants to see nudity there are other pages for it, but i think this depends on each of us, afterall, we all sometimes do what we want and dont follow the guidelines, or am i wrong? ones keep tiny background vehicles, others keep nudity, others keep with useless comments etc etc, so it has to be each of us who decide what to add or not, well, unless it is something very wrong in where a decision with Antoine has to be taken, but i dont think we have any special case now.

I do not care of that: people who click are warned. At least one does not get these images "by surprise"* directly when arriving on the page when surfing from a public place or if being easily offended. (* if you surf on a erotic site, you know what you'll get, but people who surf here do not especially expect that...)
As it seems so difficult to not post such pics on a car-related site, I added that spoiler tag to at least hide them by default, but even that seems asking too much.

Wampa-One wrote Why do we even bother to have guidelines if they will not be followed?

I know at work you're supposed to be working, but have you ever heard of downtime? I used to work for the Ordnance Survey, and when I downloaded new areas of map, it used to take up to 10 minutes, sometimes even more! Until they got faster computers. But I didn't go on the internet then (it was blocked), I tended to read the newspaper. And there's also lunch breaks.

I have heard of downtime and lunch time, but have you heard of compromising a company's network and having data fished out of the system through inappropriate internet use.
I made my comment not because I am against doing this at work, G-Mann or any person posting anything. I made the comment because there are many ways of looking at the same issues and we must within some broader limit respect other people's choices. I participate at this web site for a little while and I think we all have been very disciplined.
