La nuit américaine, la noche americana, day for night, etc.. it's a photographic technique where, filming movies, a blue colored filter is put on the filming camera and, that way, the movies could be filmed with sun but it simulated that the scene was at night. In present the currents photographics materials doesn't make necessary to do that.
