BBC Scotland TV series presented by Paul Murton (not the more famous Paul Merton) which started in 2010 and has 2013 onwards sequel series Grand Tours of the Scottish Islands. Available on DVD boxsets and some pop up from BBC iplayer archives every so often, especially when a series gets repeated (BBC 1/2/4, usually as early evening schedule gap fillers at irregular times). Recommended for Scotland fans - no high levels of excitement, but good well-researched sofa television with great scenery when it's not raining. Paul gets a ride in something local and unusual in several eps and sometimes mixes in old archive footage, so when anything amazing crops up, I'll try to add it.

Some captures from ep2.01 added (first shown 2 Nov 2011) - has a theme on caravan tourism with some 1950s(?) footage from unknown source

There was also a very brief glimpse of a black early Oxford [MO] in this caravanning sequence.

Update: S2 now completed - some eps have nothing of interest.

S1 (6 eps from Oct-Nov 2010) has just been repeated on BBC1, but I only spotted the last ep in time to catch it. Set in Fife, Edinburgh, Lothians with a sequence of new and archive footage of early motoring tourists after about 12 minutes (the old stuff looks like Skye ferry at Kyle of Lochalsh and maybe Mallaig as well) plus some modern Edinburgh tour buses from 25 minutes to end. Available in iPlayer for another couple of weeks only, or see here.

The old footage is confusingly spliced together but have pulled out everything I can disentangle with a chance of IDs, which leaves this badly shown selection which may be one car or two different ones
