I wish to add better-quality images so that certain cars in this film are more visible and easy to identify, though I intend to replace all of the current pics. As a non-admin, do I just post a comment on each car's page with the replacement picture and get an administrator to make the switch?

Yes indeed.

Film complete! Higher quality pics have been submitted to replace the near black-and-white current ones. I attempted to find an HD Blu-Ray rip online but Toho seems to have acquired Internet bloodhounds... so I have to make do with a torrented version. I apologize as I was unable to locate the 1964 Fairlady in the print I used.

Frankenstein's heart makes it's way to Japan from Germany during World War II. 15 years later, a disfigured feral child is seen roaming the streets. Once in captivity, the child mysteriously begins growing bigger while Baragon wrecks havoc elsewhere, culminating in an epic showdown! Prologue set in 1945, rest of the film is set in 1960-'61.

This film's opening really threw me for a loop, as not only do we see some Nazis confiscating Frankenstein's heart (the monster is called Frankenstein in the movie and my inner literary fanatic is screaming) but it's handed over to their Japanese allies, already unusual for a Japanese film to acknowledge that Japan was aligned with Nazi Germany and just gloss over it, who ship it to a science lab in one of their cities. Once their intentions with the heart are stated, we hear sirens going off before being joined by the droning engines of a certain B-29...

I'm honestly surprised they were allowed to use such a serious and traumatic event as a way of creating the monster for a cheesy B-movie, especially this was only 20 years after the bombing. One hell of a way to open a film!

A train with a noticeably truck-inspired design.

The all-too-iconic JNR 151/161/181 series. I'm guessing this was either A) Filmed on the Tokaido Line before October of 1964 or B) Filmed on the Sanyo Line as the Limited Express Hato (はと) operated on those lines depending on pre- or post-Oct. 1964 (when the first Shinkansen opened); according to Wikipedia, at least.

Are we not going to talk about the horrible map of Europe in the opening?

Germany has captured areas from Strasbourg to the Marne including Luxembourg, while Belgium has taken the Cotes d'Opale and Picarde. Italy has never given up Trieste, and Switzerland has taken Lombardia and the Valle d'Aosta from them. Our Eastern border now extends slightly into former Silesia, and don't even get me started on Austria, Romania and Bulgaria. I don't expect them to draw the exact borders 1:1, but damn...

Let's not forget that Germany was apparently never split, or somehow managed to reunify by 1965... :D
