I didn't know this movie was famous. Anyway, here is Mervyn LeRoy's ![[Image: leroy61majority01.jpg]](http://pics.imcdb.org/17160/leroy61majority01.jpg) heavily sugar-coated anti-racist geriatric romance, perfectly bearable if you can stand 156 minutes of uncontested good feelings, plus the idea of a third age Brooklyn woman struggling with, then overcoming the perspective of marrying an over-wealthy foreign businessman, plus Rosalind Russell as the yiddish mamma and Alec Guinness as the Japanese millionnaire. (I spare you a pic of Alec Guinness.) There are also Ray Danton, the very nice looking Madlyn Rhue, the atrocious Mae Questel, and Marc Marno as a Japanese quasi-teddy boy. Hmm. The Japanese scenes were obviously filmed on a sound studio, as evidenced by the Tiara. IMDB lists Burbank Studio's in Hollywood as the only filming location. The taxi and the police car may very well be rare USA-spec Toyopet Crown Custom's. |

Un 707...c'est toujours beau à voir, une belle machine volante comme la Caravelle, le Comet ... mais perso je réserverais l'adjectif employé, à des séquences d'Elisabeth Taylor, de Marylin et bien des centaines d'autres actrices  |
