indeed. Phenix City, Alabama. probably an error by the city founders... poor town is now stuck with it forever. |

Phenix City was supposedly named after Phenix Mills, in Georgia. The man depicted in this movie, John Patterson, later became attorney general then governor of Alabama, and after that, sat on an appeals court for years. He's still alive. |

My 11th class history teacher once told us that he was born in a bavarian city named Petting... There´s also a town which is called Fucking. After the city-sign was stolen by British tourists more then one time, the city-government decided to use their name as a tourist attraction  |
