One of the first Arab films to contain car chases, violence, sex, and drugs. Very controversial and was banned in most Arab countries, but has become a cult classic over the years as it emerged to a wider audience on DVD and the Internet.

Great selection of cars, with a fascinating combination of often ordinary things in a strange place. Seems to be a transition - just at the point before Kuwait's wealth exploded?? - with traditional 60s habits of US and European buying about to be revolutionised by Japanese expansion.

I see a few American cars here. How common are American cars nowadays in Kuwait? I would think the climate there would be good for cars longevity.

There are more Japanese cars now than there was in the 1970s, but big American cars (e.g. Caprice, Impala, Crown Vics, GM SUVs, etc.) are still fairly popular there.

reminds me of 60ies movies shot in Lebanon, when it was called near East Suisse, and there are movies with Mercedes W 114 and Boeing 707 in similar surounding
this is great, never have seen this fascinating police cars, or 707 "let it all hang down" full flaps!

I almost forgot to post thumbs of these various background cars that just appear for a few seconds in the first scene of the movie

Let me know if you see any interesting/unusual/rare cars in the thumbs.

@ProlerX: here's a link to the movie on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oy8tKUx1lyM
There 3 chase scenes you can skip to (but I must warn you, they're kinda cheesy :p)
1st one is from 3:22-6:00
2nd one from 49:25-50:01
3rd one 1:28:30-1:34:13

Yes - looks Mk2 or perhaps even XK150. I wondered if the yellow with black roof in same thumb is a Porsche 914, but too indistinct to be sure.
