The yellow veteran car could be a Delaunay-Belleville. |

From Wikipedia - The yellow car should be driven by Kenneth More is a 1904 Spyker. The car before it is 'Genevieve' a 1904 Darracq. "Alan McKim (John Gregson), a young barrister and his wife Wendy (Dinah Sheridan), drive Genevieve, a 1904 Darracq. Their friend Ambrose Claverhouse (Kenneth More), a brash advertising salesman, and his latest girlfriend Rosalind Peters (Kay Kendall), a fashion model, drive a 1904 Spyker." It should be fairly easy to add or replace pictures with captures from the movie in the future. The film is shown regularly on UK TV, particularly at holiday times. ![]() -- Last edit: 2006-11-11 11:23:36 |

As expected, being close to Easter, this movie was on TV so expect some more pictures shortly. |

In fact one of the two 'star'cars, both of which are now in the national Dutch Car Museum, is actually 1905 production, and as the cut-off date for the London Brighton run actually is 31.12.1904, the car had to to given (it was) dispensation by the RAC to participate a few years ago! |

Very interesting mix of 50's cars and veterans ![]() |

When the movie was made the veterans were about 50 years old, most if not all are still to be found running at 100+ years, in the London-Brighton event. However the newer pre and post war cars and commercials will all have almost certainly perished after ten to fifteen years. -- Last edit: 2007-04-14 17:21:15 |

Isn't there a Morris Traveller used as a camera crew car in this? Or was that in another, similar movie? |
