For this film I will be grading using the Stars as follows:-
* = The car is only in a Photo or very briefly on screen.
** = The car is seen from many angles & commentary given ..or it's driven for a short time.
*** = The car is driven for some time by Jeremy clarkson on a road or track ..or is seen in a race against other cars.!
There are NO **** or ***** cars for this film.

I will add cars at approx.20 at a time.
These are Jeremy Clarkson's Personal choice of His Top 100 cars (NOT a decisive or in depth choice by a panel of experts) ... Just his favourites.!
Also he included a few of his ALL time Worst cars Ever.!

Good idea to include this "movie" :)
I agree about your rating system.
Maybe it would be interesting to put the position of the car (1-100) in the episode number ?
There will be more than 100 cars since there are also few of the "worst cars" (Vanden Plas version of the Allegro, and few others)

Maybe it is not useful to include ≈4 views of EACH car :D (e.g. for the Benz both pics looks identical...)

Ok.! (for the benz ..I only added the other ..as it was without the number.!)
For now I can't find my pic for car 92 (ford cortina) & 88 (Renault Alpine) ..so will add it later.! (strange ..they have disappeared.!!)

What did this Clarkson guy think the worst cars ever were?
Pretty nice cars, although they only had like 4 American cars.

When it comes to US-cars, Clarkson's horizon is restricted to the stereotypical four:
Corvette, Mustang, Charger, Viper. I don't expect anything else from somebody as intellectually challenged as he is, but unfortunately many Europeans are similarily narrow-minded concerning American automotive history.

I bought an issue of Top Gear Magazine that had booklet of Clarkson's 50 Worst Cars of All Time (though it may be have been a cumultive list from the magazine staff as well as him, but he writes about the entries) among them were the Volvo 340, Ford Escort Mk4 (the boxy 80s one), Austin Maestro (this was always a pile of shit), Ferrari Mondial, Austin Princess 2, the original Vauxhall Vectra (Clarkson's always dispised this car), Morris Ital, Porsche Cayenne, Lexus SC430, Datsun Sunny, Ford Scorpio (the bug-eyed one) and the Suzuki X-90 (a lame beach buggy thing). The American entries in the list were the Ford Pinto, the 1979 Ford Mustang Mk3, Chrysler Neon, AMC Pacer and the 1980 Cadillac Seville Diesel (with the weird trunk).

Hmm, I seem to agree with those being crappy American cars. I would correct that list and put the Mustang II rather than the thrid generation as being worse. I mean it's an insult when you build a "muscle" car out of a Pinto! At least the third generation "Fox Bodies" looked much better after '84.

And those Sevilles with the back cut-off are so ugly! I wouldn't blame him for counting those! It's gotta be a double whammy with the Olds 350 diesel.

To be fair to the Mustang II, it sucked more because everything sucked in the mid-70's. Up until the '05 Mustang, they've always been based on some kind of Ford economy car, so the Pinto wasn't that much of a stretch.

And there was nothing really bad about the Neon except for a lack of refinement and really poor build quality/reliability for the first couple of years of production. From what I understand, some Neons (like the ACR or the R/T) can be rather fun to drive.

Where did you see this, Stronghold? It looks a bit like one of those programs you'd see on Bravo or Men & Motors. Some of the clips are clearly from Clarkson's old videos, so this looks a bit like it was compiled of bits from Top Gear and other Clarkson stuff. Clarkson once released a picture book, Clarkson's Hot 100, which including most of the cars here and in fact some of the still pictures are the same as the photos in the book.

This was released as DVD. I think that there is only a small part that is taken from old shows, when it mentions the worse cars in the middle of the show.

Why is it people feel the need to "quote" thumbnails? Doesn't it just waste space? Couldn't they just say "about the thumbnails..." or whatever?

Clarkson's videos were later parodied by Steve Coogan:

The funny thing about some of these programs (Bravo and Men & Motors fodder) that use models in a cheesy (some may even say sexist) way is that often the models aren't exactly supermodel standard or even page 3 standard, because they obviously can't afford to go to the top model agencies. This girl above is OK though.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be aggressive :D Though your comment was quite bit further below the pictures, sometimes people quote thumbnails just below them, and I think it's a bit pointless repeating them, like this page: movie_118747-Blues-Brothers-2000.html
