The most laughable part is when they are watching the weather report on TV, and someone switches to FOX to get a "fair and balanced" report. LMAO !!

They would be saying "The world isn't ending right now, the Liberal media's just trying to fool you!"

mad_about_carz wrote Oh, and one more thing. One of the three cars that fly onto the freeway as the news truck near misses every one of them, I think that I saw a Subaru Impreza (the 1st car - frame by frame the sequence and look at the rims) and a new Crown Victoria (3rd car, pretty obvious).

mad about carz is right. These cars are still missing, maybe one can add them. I cannot fully agree on the Crown Vic as the scene is pretty fast and so the cars are hard to identify. Plus, in the scene where the main actors enter the City's public library a car is being pushed through a window by the waves. It's a cab, my guess is a 1991-1996 Chevy Caprice. This car would also still be to add.

Note:(comments from above)- The cars seen flying through the air are too blurred/fast moving and CGI (not worth listing!) I didn't notice the caprice being washed up, but I would guess it's too small/blurred/cgi to worry about.!

The rollover of Poseidon was quite well done, the CGI was first class. I quite liked that movie.
Though I also love the original Poseidon movie “The Poseidon Adventure” (1972)

Hm, no Crown Vic's listed? I see a couple of them wrecked on my tv-sceen at the moment...
I even think one is a two star vehicle (woman and child get rescued. But not very interesting of course ;)

obscure common background cars, not really worth HD

for the Mercedes you can use this /vehicle_72300-Audi-S8-Typ-4D-2001.html

They're probably the most visible background cars of the whole movie [:kiki]

Yes, the cars of that scene were well visible.
And better keep the current shots than using the blurry one from the Audi...

^ so you really need HD for the 2 very common cars or since they are very visible and VERY common they can be SD ?

We never "need" HD. Old pics were already good.
If you still have the movie, it should take a few minutes to make the captures, as the time-tag is mentioned.
Or else it is not very important.

I don't think HD hurt the HICO snow cat or the Datsun for mr. EYE :D but don't have movie anymore , so I think it's permanently done !!
