I thought that this specimen light pole contains fluorescent light bulbs :??:

It is my understanding that they are banning those classical mercury vapor bulbs in favor of more destructful Metal Halide bulbs :mad:

 Yes, as EU has gave out the parole they are hazard to environment, ignoring the Metal Halide bulbs
are much more toxic to us
Even chancelor Mertkel has admitted that propagandized lights are to take some getting used to as we don´t perceive them as bright as
banned ones,
and she is physicist

maybe Pilzlaterne was available with fluorescent light bulbs, too
i think the "peitschenlampe" contained fluorescent light bulbs, but there is hope
retrofitted with LED they can stay :)

 today i got aware of process when Pilzleuchte is switched on no light at all, than blue gloeming only in centre, followed by dimmed yellow light
and after 5 minutes brighter than surface of sun, in candela /squarecm so they don´t have starters like the fluorescent "Peitschenlampe"
it was fascinating!
