I don't understand how it's "fake" product placement. If it's there then isn't it "real" product placement? |

Because the companies did not ask to be advertised and neither the proudcers or companies recieved monie |

So then it's not product placement at all. It was simply inserted by the filmakers. Fake product placement would be when fictional products are inserted into a movie, such as the "Pizza Planet" restaurants in Pixar movies. |

It sorta is like in one seen for no reason at all charecter melody goes into the bathroom covered in mcdonalds logos or a private jet covered in motorola logos and phones |

It's supposed to be satire within the context of the movie about how much product placement/sponsorship there can be. Or something like that...haven't seen this movie in years. |
