No connection with the 70s Trammps disco hit of same name or the excellent Graham Parker cover version. Very intense road movie about a pilgrimage from England to the Ring of Brodgar stone circle on Orkney which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site - heavy going but very moving by the finale. Excellent characters and acting, plus superb photography and use of scenery through Scotland and onto Orkney. The second film I've done in 2 months about a traumatic trip through Scotland with a knackered old VW Camper as its central vehicle, which uses the Forth Bridge as a major location and then finishes on a Scottish island (after The Inheritance) - a previously unrecognised sub-genre??

imdb not very strong on locations - film starts somewhere vague in Englandshire, has a fair bit of incidental footage in Kirkintilloch and Moodiesburn (N Glasgow), Haymarket in Edinburgh, Forth Bridge, Central Highlands along and around the A9, snippets in Sutherland and Caithness along and near the A9, Scrabster ferry port and then Stromness and Brodgar on Orkney. A lot of very familiar territory for me.....

Various cars up-ended at a protest camp around 12-15 minutes in:
1] white Escort Mk3 or 4 - maybe XR3 or late Mk4 special edition with spoiler:
[Image: 12-36xr3.jpg] [Image: 12-36xr3b.jpg]

2] blue Ford with poverty wheels - first impression was Fiesta Mk2, but I now think Orion Mk1
[Image: 13-26fiesta.jpg] [Image: 13-26fiestaorion.jpg]

3] a clump of 3 cars - dark blue is Peugeot 405, metallic slate blue is Volvo 240 [244], metallic green saloon with yellow wheel uncertain - first impression was Nova saloon, but now thinking Nissan Bluebird if wheel is correct format

I think there's another couple of up-ended cars in this segment, but impossible to get clear views

Forth Bridge (still a toll bridge then)

(last thumb is A9 near Dalnaspidal - those pylons are very familiar as I've had to survey their ground conditions for new bigger and much uglier replacements for the controversial Beauly-Denny powerline grid upgrade

Baile An Or bridge at Suisgill on A897 in Strath of Kildonan, west of Helmsdale (Sutherland)

A9 layby at Loch Rangang, Caithness

- the lump down by the loch is an Iron Age broch known as Greystell Castle

Scrabster ferry port to Orkney, the old P&O St Ola III (1974-2002- I've had so many trips on that boat), the Old Man of Hoy cliff stack, and the 3rd NLV Pole Star - Northern Lighthouse Board supply vessel - in misty Stromness

Brom-hum… dsl, were your eyes obscured by tears last night to the point you forget the VW?

Patience, dear boy. A veritable deluge of pictures of the VW will be arriving shortly ...

Ah oui, les photos sont grandes et belles. Anyway and nevertheless, in dsl I always trust. (I only indulged myself in the dubious pleasure of a poor joke linked to poll night of yesterday.)

It reminds me of a VW I saw in this movie.
/vehicle_583275-Volkswagen-Station-Wagon-Typ-2-T2-1970.html

So I think it's a Volkswagen Station Wagon Typ 2 T2.
Need I say more.
