antp ◊ 2008-09-20 08:11	Original title is 허밍, translitterated to Heo-ming (I guess I should use that as original title), but I do not know what it, my dictionnary does not translate the "ming" part, it just gives "emptiness" as meaning of "heo". I do not know if full word is emptiness + something else, or just an unrelated meaning.

I am just curious About the domain name of the Peugeot Korea site, I have an idea why it's named like that... The website is owned by 한불 motors (Hanbul motors, simply means Korea-France Motors). The company owns the right to import and sell Peugeot products in Korea but is a totally separate entity from PSA. I think the company simply doesn't have the right to use the domain name "Peugeot" in Korea as the rights to sell the Peugeots in Korea can be sold to other companies in the future... BMW's Korean website, in other hand, uses BMW.co.kr as its domain name because BMW Korea is 100% subsidiary of BMW in Germany.. Most of big guns in auto business, like Mercedes, BMW, have fully owned Korean subsidiaries, but Peugeot doesn't have that in Korea. Well, I may be wrong... BTW, that Naver website is the most popular web portal in Korea... I am 99.9% sure that it's the most visited website in Korea. Foreign based ones like Yahoo Korea don't do well somehow..

Good for you Even without undertanding the meanings, that's very impressive as you must be one of a very handful of Belgians able to read Hangeul. As the sole reason for Hangeul to be created 500 years ago was making people learn to write and read easier, it really isn't supposed to be difficult to learn the alphabet. (Note. Before Hangeul, Koreans had used Chinese letters as their primary writing system... Actually even after the creation, using Chinese letters was the usual way to write and read for royals and educated ones until the mid 20th century.) But still, I am really impressed as I know very well that learning something very unfamiliar and even exotic is very difficult to accomplish. I wish I had a cool interest like that And about the flag, I guess I should raise the Korean flag... as I feel more at home with the flag of where I am from than where I live now.
