4 part BBC Scotland TV series "set on a bleak Edinburgh council (North Sighthill) estate, gangland drug dealer Jo-Jo McCann is determined to gain money and power whatever it costs." A gritty drama, as they say, much heavier than Trainspotting with which it shares many themes, Edinburgh location and actors.

Eps 1 & 2 set in 1982

and eps 3 & 4 in

which causes several problems for newer cars, faked plates and so on.

Frustrating scene in ep2 at 04-55 when a very low blurry red thing (Esprit??) zooms past

:king: Pity they did not show it properly, as it was unlikely to be accidental placement.

 When became the access toll-free? IIRC I have paid there, too.
As on the Skye-Bridge, too - which was back then a record-holder: the most expensive toll per length on the world.

Unthinkable in Germany, that any toll or tax would be abolished, when the reason for it does not exist any more. Best example is pur tax on Champagner and all other sparkling wines. No kidding, the reason for that tax doesn't exist any more since 97 years:

Forth Bridge date was 11 Feb 2008 when Tay Bridge also became free. Skye Bridge was toll-free from 21 Dec 2004, ending one of the biggest financial rip-offs inflicted on Scotland in recent times.

Not only in Scotland, even worldwide. Somewhere I read the confirmation, that if was indeed the most expensive toll-road applied on the length. I think, in 2001 we have paid 12,50 Pounds or so, incredible much anyways.
