Can anyone post more scenes of the miniatures in the tunnel sequence?

I am confused on which was filmed in Italy, the tunnel entrnce was supposed to be built in Rome but then? all the american cars on the street? i dotn get it, and then the inside of the tunnel was a current scale model tunnel, but all the american cars? you notice in a movie when its filmed in Europe and they have just a few american cars but there are too many in here to be Italy, dont know...

I remember reading that the producers bought lots of cars in New York and shipped them over. This was a big budget film ($80 million according to the IMDB), not a cheap B-movie where they make do with whatever cars can be found locally. :)

The tunnel is actually the Holland (or Lincoln, I forget which) tunnel in New York City. I recognize it from when I passed through it a couple months ago on my visit to New York.

Actually, the tunnel entrance and interior were sets built on the backlot at Cinecitta in Rome. Of course they were designed to look like real road tunnels in New York.

By the way responding to your question, some thieves steal the Seville STS to a man coming out from a jewlery, there's a small chase and they enter the tunnel, they ramm a few vehicles and finally lose control of it crashing into a truck carrying some toxic waste and they explode, you know the next ;)

Sounds realistic. I really think there's trucks of toxic waste traveling through the Holland Tunnel :p

One thing I've noticed about this movie is the disproportionately high number of American cars. Out of the 58 vehicles listed here, about 50 of them or 85% are American. This seems very unrealistic.

When an admin replaces the pics can they then delete or edit the comments to remove the replacements? It is annoying when this does not happen as other admins can't see if all the pics have been replaced yet and it also takes up space on the server if they are not removed at all as the pictures will end up being saved twice on the server.

I will know have to check all the pages one-by-one to make sure everything has been replaced and delete the comments. I've already noticed one missed time tag and one missed replacement pic in the first four vehicles I've checked too...

Sort the photos by apparition. The ones without time stamps (i.e. the ones that have yet to be replaced) will all appear first.

Yes, when replacing pics the old one should be deleted from the comment (or whole comment deleted if there is nothing else).
Or else indeed it is wasting space on the server (as the comments pics are not deleted while they are used in at least one comment), and looks like it is not yet replaced.

Actually, around 1995-1996 NYC wasn't as populated with foreign cars as it is now. Look up old footage of NYC in the 1990's.

That's true, but it wasn't 85% American cars. I could buy it being maybe 2/3 American or 66%, whereas today it's more like 50%.
