dsl ◊ 2016-02-02 22:54	11 minute film from 1924, part of the "Wonderful London" series produced by Graham Wilcox Films and directed by Harry B Parkinson & Frank Miller. Released in 2012 on a BFI dvd with 12 of these films (apparently there were 20+ altogether). It's the fifth of the 6 extras on the DVD; can't find it on youtube or on BFI site and not listed on imdb, but listed in the DVD info on BFI and eg Amazon to prove its pedigree. .. pretty well sums up its content - a tour of London for the tourist. Frustrating film to go through because there's a huge amount of content of imcdb interest, but doesn't show the vehicles as clearly as others in the series - shots sometimes cut them off so top halves only shown, and the contrast is poor so hides detail (although this works to advantage sometimes by enhancing number plates). So posting several things which are noticeable when watching, but may or may not have enough detail for a good ID. Also posting several rejects to balance things, but the differences in level of IDability may be very slim. Rejects: 1] odd-looking coupe with vertical roof 2] stumpy van 3] 2 convertibles with the rear one looking LHD which is very unusual in any of these films and maybe 4 doors 4] something posh during trooping the colour parade on king's birthday - might be a royal vehicle?? 5] other assorted rejects Other things: Pickfords still using horse-drawn carts in 1924 Tarboilers
