I wonder on reliability of such a documentary about "Greatest years of rallying in the 70's" without evocating Alpine A110 !!!

Now when everything is listed, we can see that % there is not so many of them, and some are even interesting.

What a pity!! I don't see the Seat 124-1800 in the 1977 Rally of Montecarlo. With this simple Seat and driven by Antonio Zanini (later european rally champion with Porsche), Seat was 3rd and even Zanini got one scratch time. And, by the way, (for Polish fellows) Zanini won Rally of Poland in 1978, 1979 and 1980. Also with Z was champion of this Rally of Poland the polish rally racer Zasada, who won in 1964, 1967, 1969 and 1971. Cheers

And what's about the famous Mercedes 450 SLC Gr.4 from the latest '70s. driven by Bjorn Waldegaard

And the Opel Ascona 400 Rally driven by (no doubt) the best, Walter Röhrl.

Röhrl's 1982 championship with Opel Ascona was a very impressive effort, battling with normally aspirated 2WD car against the mighty 4WD turbo Quattros.

Ineed there are cars not mentioned in this film. Though it was more about the rallies from the point of view of the British fan, well that's a British film.
Anyway, as a consolation for vilero (but maybe not only for him), here are two short videos from the 1979 Rally Poland, when Zanini in 131 defeated everyone (including the... kamikaze dog) and 1980 - "Zanini's hat trick" (3:03), where he already drove the Porsche -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPTxmoAcjjs

If maybe anyone around here has closer connections to collectors of old car magazines: I'm still looking for the French "Virage"-issue of June 1973. There is an article about the Rallye du Maroc included, the only rallye except the Rallye Monte Carlo 1971, where some K 70 have participated... ;)

The last (and as I know only) eBay-auction of it I've lost :(

Are you really sure you want to know how these brick-shaped K 70s performed?

Oh, they weren't too bad in Maroc 1973. At least they have reached the finish - not self-evident for their rivals.

And about the brick-shaped style I'm pleased still today. Practical and unique. :p

The Mazda RX-7 listed is in fact the Japanese spec car on the 1979 RAC. In the entry list it is described as a "Mazda SA 22 C". Oh yes, that IS Jean Todt running to get back into the Peugeot 504 V6 Coupe in the Safari mud !!!

1965 Monte footage from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsvcbrJ7-18 - lots of unusual cars seen, including some rallying Glas (1304?) at beginning and finish.
